I received my Bachelor of Arts in 1975 and my law degree in 1978 from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. I have enjoyed practicing law in Lloydminster for over 20 years.

My clients are a cross section of the people and businesses of this active region. To meet all of the needs of this diverse group, I have maintained my expertise in a general practice, including real estate, commercial law, wills and estates, estate planning, criminal law, civil and family litigation, corporate, municipal and business law.

In the past, I was an agent for the Federal Attorney General's Office, prosecuting drug offenses and offenses under other federal statutes. Now, I use my criminal law expertise to defend those charged with criminal offenses. I ensure my client’s rights are protected and that the trial and result is eminently fair.

I successfully negotiate surface rights and oil and gas agreements on behalf of rural clients and, if necessary, I appear before the Surface Rights Boards to ensure that my client’s farm is disrupted as little as possible and that they are well compensated.

I represent my clients before all adjudicative tribunals and in all levels of court, from Provincial Court to the Court of Appeal, in both criminal and civil matters. My years of experience in many legal areas serve me well in the courtroom.

I am currently on the Board of Big Brothers and Big Sisters Association of Lloydminster. I am a founding member of the Twin Rivers Health Care Foundation and I was a long standing director of that organization, through the health care reforms in Saskatchewan.

I have been a qualified mediator since 1987 and a strong advocate of dispute resolution through mediation. I am a member of the Law Societies of Alberta and Saskatchewan and a member of the Canadian Bar Association. I have lectured on areas of special interest to private groups and to the general public and have presented topical presentations on behalf of the Public Legal Education Association. I maintain an active interest in a wide variety of legal areas as demanded by my diverse client base. I am committed to providing competent services, a principled approach in representing clients and in dealing with colleagues. I am a strong proponent of a practical and efficient resolution of the issues that my clients encounter.
